That design isn't really my favourite, it feels too aggressive...
I doubt that you will be allowed to bring with you that flashlight as hand baggage on flights! :sssh:

I once temporarily placed a 3D M@G on a shelf near my computer desk. I paced the light on its side thinking that it would stay put, the shelf above was too low for the light to sit on its bezel. After I finished my business on my computer, I rolled back in my chair and bumped the wall. The flashlight then rolled off the shelf and fell 3ft onto my head. Those 3Ds pack a wallop. I was not bleeding but I had a huge egg on my head and I commenced swearing for a good 3 minutes straight.

I once had a laser-guided 2D Maglite aimed right at my foot. While I usually like my lights, at that moment, the love was gone for a couple minutes. :scowl:

I'll add to this. Having gotten rid of the E2DL long ago and just replaced it with (what I hope will be) a more cost-effective solution in the long-term - a 6PDL.

I can say the E2DLs strike bezel stings a lot more when using it on your self. :crackup:The 6PDL bezel can't come close to the amount of pain you can inflict upon yourself LOL.

I can't say exactly why; E2DL bezel is sharper + smaller head, sharper teeth are closer together = more concentrated force. I think this may be so. My 2 cents worth.

I agree that these crenulated bezels can be dangerous. I just received my E2DL, and cut myself carelessly not more than 5 minutes after opening it for the first time.

I also have a crenulated 6P on the way, hope I can avoid similar woes.
