SureFire Alpha is HERE !
I decided to drop by SureFire to pick up the knife & other stuff that was holding up shipment (Z60 lanyard). There is white lettering on the side: Mod. ALPHA S/N 0144. It's all black and has no Ryan bio-hazard logo on the blade. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif As you can see it has an eclipse (recurve) shape when held in a combat position - it points out towards the advisary & the long assist lever protects your grip. The 4" blade is only chisel ground on one side (both bottom & 3/4" on top). A massive Aluminum frame with G10 inserts with SureFire eched in each side & ambi pocket clips defy the reality of it's light balanced weight. A nice approach to the liner lock is that it is recessed a little so that one has a positive feeling that the lock cannot fail. In my Levis 501 shrink to fit pants, the folder & its assist lever take up 1 3/4" of width.
Compared to my auto Microtech Lightfoots and Benchmades, or any other folder - I'll EDC this Alpha for dominating a combative encounter!

Now where is that Klesk/Vash guy? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif He owned two or more of these at one point -- I'm surprised that he hasn't weighed-in his opinion of them, yet !
