Is there a twisty tailcap with scalloped button shield available from any manufacturer? There are for the E series lights, but what about the C series?

It needs to be a twisty to handle the current to a 1794 bulb, I believe.

Thanks.

I've seen that list with pics; I'm hoping there's a better aftermarket solution.

McGizmo? Someone else?

Probably not gonna find a non-SF twisty
Most aftermarket switches are clickies
.
What about buying one of AW's "soft start" switches?
I know it costs a little more money than the switch itself but it will handle the current and give you 3 levels of incandecent light to choose from.

I'm saving up for one!

Soft-start's a possibility, but I'm looking for the scalloped "strike" shield on the back. Like what the E-series defender has.

Seemingly no one has made such a beast for the C-series.

Leef makes a clicky with those scallops. I got one from lighthound, but it's not listed now. If I remember correctly it uses "mc clicky" switch that is supposed to take 10A current. Correct me if I'm wrong about the switch. I have used that switch with FM1794 bulbs, but not for long because I flashed those bulbs.

As stated, Leef made a run of these some time ago, but they are sold out at Lighthound. He does runs of items as time allows, so no idea if (or whne) he will release more.Your best bet is to post a "Want to Buy" and see if anyone has one to sell. I sold one a while ago on the Marketplace.

The RPM switch might make a fair substitute: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=215501
