Hi all,
I work with a small police force and we get issued with Surefire 6P LEDs.
Now I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to flashlights, but I am a computer techie as a hobbiest so I can catch on pretty quickly.
Now I don't want to buy batteries every dang week for my flashlight, it's going to cost a fortune. So I have a few options.
Buy rechargeable batteries or the rechargeable kit from Surefire. But from what I hear the light will only take smaller ones not the standard sized 123A, and the rechargeable kit itself is only nicd and quite weak.
I can just buy a Pelican 7060 or Streamlight but they don't seem to be as favored as the Surefire lights by flashaholics and they are quite bulky.
Or, which I am leaning towards, I can go custom. Get a custom body, drop in lamp, and rechargeable batteries in a larger size.
What do you guys advise? The reason I'm posting here is because I like the large amount of mods you can get for the Surefire and I think modding might be a better option than either of the above.
Thanks!
