I've had unconvincing answers when researching on whether two Pila 150s fits on the UBH. Most of the answer were negative, because the 150s where actually 4mm longer than the UBH body. I am planning to use both for my upcoming Lux3-TWAK DownBoy-917. Anybody had success in this configuration?

Another alternative brought out by Chop, was to use a UBH with a DSpeck 123Cell Extender -- and use two 168s. I need to confirm if someone had actually tried this out.

What other rechargeable battery configuration is it possible to run the TWAK-DB917? I'm planning to have some "guilt-free" alternatives /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Johnny I am awaiting the UBH and I got 150s Pila's as well as a DSpeck 123 adapter. I have no clue as to the other things mentioned. When I get the UBH I will try 2 150s as well as the adapter and 168s. I have know idea as to when I will get the UBH. I will need to use other heads as I do not have the ones you spoke of.

Topper,

Can you do this test for me --
Use the 123 adapter together with an E2/E2e/L4 body and try out with if two Pila 150s fits.

Thanks.

Hi Johnny, I took my E2E the 123 adapter made by Doug Speck not an A19 Doug's E2C and put 2 150s in. Tried a KT1 and the head off the SF Z3 both worked fine. Also tried the KL3 with E2C and 123 adapter on the battery holder from Tad gear?? It worked as well with 2 168s. What did not work was 2 123 adapters on my E2E with the E2C and 2 168s not sure why. Hope that helps.

The 150x2 is 4mm longer and will cause problems. But I have tried using 1x150 and 1x17500 in a TL3xenon without problems. The single 150 will protect both the cells from over discharge.

Thanks, Topper and Kevin. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Topper> I'm not sure if the electrical resistance for four strung parts had caused the last set-up not to work. Could it be some problem with the thread connectivity? Maybe some over-anodizing on the threads? You may try testing each of the E2E-123 with the TadGear VG-AA and see if both works, or test the 2xE2E-123 again, changing the sequence of the two adapters. Also, try testing 2x150s on the TagGear VG-AA and see if it works. Thanks.

Beware that the E2c can be made to work because of the spring in the lamp assembly. Other heads like the KL1 or Arc or any E2 size head like the PR McLux will probably not work since there's no spring to "stretch" the electrical connection.
