Looking for my first good quality light to carry around daily, want something nice that I can count on and these two seem interesting....wondering what else I may be missing or if these are two to consider? not looking to mod anything just a solid small edc light

thanks

Welcome to CPF!

As much as I hate to say this I would get the Titan 1st. Variable output and much longer runtime. But I do believe everybody should own a good incan and the E2e is a great incan!

E2E is one of the best incans ever. but incandesants burn through batteries much faster. and occasionally you might have to change the bulb.
T1A would make a great EDC i think. small, simply, with a good range of brightness'.
you should also check out the surefire L1, E1L, E1B. all these use 1 cr123, and are simple and reliable.

The T1A is a great light, and I love mine, but for less money you could get a Sunwayman V10R or V10R TI which s brighter, Throwier and has a better tint (and is a similar size, and has a magnetic continuously variable brightness)

If you can accept an E2E as EDC, why don't you consider get a fury? With its high level up to 500 lumens, it can deal with most sudden needs of searching tasks. At the same time, it gets a low level to cover ordinary situation using an EDC.

I know it is neither of your options, but I really enjoy my 4sevens mini 123.

Go for the E2E. If you tire of the bulbs burning out you can replace the incan with a led module.

I don't have a Titan, although I might one day, but I do have (4) e series incan lights. I think they are great lights and clip easily in the front pocket of dockers or jeans.

I would depend on what you were really looking for in the light. What is important to you: variable levels, battery life, color rendition, simplicity? Can you give us a little more information on possible uses?

I think the T1A is a wonderful. It's small, very pocket friendly, amazing simple infinitely variable UI. Will last about 2 hours on a brand new CR123 at full power and much longer with lower level usage.

The E2e is also a great light, but as others have mentioned it will chew through more batteries and it doesn't have variable levels. Yes, you could get a LED dropin for it with multiple levels but then you will need to get a clicky for the tailcap - and down the road of modding and increasing expense you go. If you are thinking you may end up going that route I would just start with the T1A to begin with.

Lots of other wonderful lights out there too, but you personally picked one of my top favorites with the T1A. It's a rugged purpose built light and I think it'll take more of a beating than many other lights out there for day to day pocket use.

So ideally I want something I can keep in my pocket and not have it get annoying but also work well....

A part of me liked the fenix E05 and E15 series but they seem too small

I like the "build" of the Surefire E2E and the price is about what I want to keep it at (on ebay new like $60)

Any other options for that price in a similar size and style would be great
