Surefire Earplugs

We've tried them in the shop, and I was not overly impressed. They are comfortable, but a bit fussy to put in, block tool noise fairly well and might be better with gunshots. Overall, they are worth a try and if you need the earpiece feature to go with a radio, they are much less costly than custom earmolds. That said, the in-ear parts got brittle after about 4 months and I went to some less expensive earplugs as my EDC

I bought a pair for trap shooting. They are very comfortable, but awkward to insert. They don't cut the sound nearly enough on the firing line. If I stick the tiny plugs into the holes, they are _almost_ quiet enough, but then they aren't so comfortable. They do block quite a bit of sound, even without the tiny plugs inserted in the central holes, so you can't hear well with them in.

They are quiet enough to wear outside, away from the shooting line, and you can hear a conversation when you are wearing them, if you pay attention and folks don't mumble.

I don't think I'll buy another pair. They're only $10, but they aren't that much better than the $2.00 plugs.
