Surefire G2L Head Made From Aluminum?

Well, the following is not about the G2L, but sort of is in the same vein. I have a G2Z and run a LED drop in. I usually use it for a few minutes only to reduce buildup of heat. The other day I inadvertently placed my 6P head on the G2Z body. I ran the light for a bit before I noticed the Al head on the G2Z. The head was warm. It had absorbed heat from the drop in, and I got to thinking. The 6P Pyrex window also conducts heat so that makes for better heatsinking, maybe better heat sinking that an Al head with a plastic window.
