Its an exceptional product. Throws out a wall of light that has no artifacts, and the tint ranges from good to top notch IME.

No the Pila batteries do not fit.

The L2 is the most useful flashlight I've yet used for EDC.

A Lemon??...how?? ... the tint wasn't good? or its just dead? I'm sure Surefire can replace it.

Best thing is that surefire ask me to send the thing back for warranty with shipping at my cost and told me its their warranty t&c. I told them i'm not really very happy to pay to send a brand new lemon to them to made it good and still waiting for a reply from them. Anyway, i had heard good cheers on surefire customer service but however in my case, i dun really find them that helpful. Maybe its because i'm a oversea customer... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Anyone also experience difficulty in getting warranty service from them, esp. oversea customer?

I now have two L2s.
For daily carry, I just don't care for them as much as my KL4 on my E2D body. One issue is the size. The L2 is just a bit too long. The two level thing is cool though.

Oddly, One L2 appears to be a good bit dimmer than my KL4 - but it has a pinkish tint and that may be part of the issue. My other one is much better tint wise, but still seems just a tad dimmer than the KL4.

But, what do I know, I'm a newbie. And according to some here, I don't think very clearly.

There is variation with LEDs but it does sound to me that your KL4 is a real keeper!
