Sorry for all the post about Surefire LED's, but I would like your input on these to Surefire LED's.

Any side by side photo's or beam shots would be great as I'm getting ready to order one or the other.

Thanks,

The L4 is smaller than the L2 and can be used with Pila rechargeable batteries.

The L2 is a little brighter on high, but IMHO the L2s strong point is the long runtime on low.

If you want small and rechargeable get the L4 and Pila 168S.

If you want to use primary cells and the low beam to get long runtimes get the L2.

The beams are similar if you compare the L4 to the L2 on high.

Or get a McE2S kit for the L4 and have the best of both worlds. Dual output levels and the option of using CR123's or rechargeables.

Could you post a link to the McE2S, please.
It's a two stage LOTC for the L4?

I have been reading some post on the L2, some say it's brighter then the L4, is this true?

Here's a couple to get you started-

Don (McGizmos) McE2S page

KJ's McE2S page

Look in the McGizmo forum for more info. You can buy the kit from the Sandwich Shoppe . You need the kit, along with the rubber boot. You can post in the McGizmo forum about the best ohm value for the board for your needs if you don't see it already posted or on KJ's page.

Wow, thats awesome!
Thanks.

Edited to add: Surefire L4 should be here Monday /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
