I have found out that my light in question is a modifaction of an energizer 4XAAA light.

In looking around, I have discovered that SureFire makes a IR light, the M1.

Does anyone know anything about this?

$110 on the SureFire web site seems a little steep. Any information on where to get a better deal?

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks LittleNinjai, I'll check it out.

I just got off the phone with SureFire and they are claiming that the M1 with a 10 mw diode will illuminate an object at 100 meters. 100 meters seems like a long throw to me. Does this seam reasonable? They are also claiming 15 hours run time on the lithium 123A battery.

In general does SureFire exaggerate their claims, or can you trust what they publish.

he will give you a good price, trust me.

Botac will rob you - they dont have it in stock and will pretend they did not recieve your money. do not support them, they have hurt our members before and are very underhanded IMHO.

and surefire DOES NOT exagerate - they don't need to.

SureFire are generally honest with their claims. However, I know nothing about the M1!

Hello Al,

Can you put me in contact with Shelby? I don't know who that is. I would like to talk to someone that has used an M1.

Thanks

Tom
