I avoid those M2 Shock Isolation bezels like the plague:green:

They block a good percentage of the spill beam. its about a 15% loss in OTF Lumens from the sides. Spot intensity is not affected though. Its not an ideal design for the brighter is better LED crowd. Works best with incans IMHO. The more forward position of the incan filament creates greater spill, compared to LED modules.

There's seems to be a bit of a debate on the added durability of the shock isolated bezel's as well. From what I've read, there are some that swear by the added durability of the shock isolated bezel during drops and such, whereas other have said that the shock isolation is only meant for the recoil of a firearm, as in a forward and back motion recoil would produce, no protection top to bottom like the protection it would need from a drop or fall. I have never owned one but the latter seems like it would make more sense, but I could be wrong.
