Surefire M27 mount questions

Hello CPF!

I was browsing around and usually am well aware of Surefire products intil someone asked me about the M27 for the Steyr AUG rifle.

I was wondering if a G2 light will sit in it and run a XM series tailcap with tape switch?

The G2 is a little fatter than 1" so the mount may just clamp over it.
I can't find a good photo of a Steyr AUG with SureFire model 673 or 683 for that matter...

Thank you Size15's! I was about to just send you a message but didn't seem to find a thread about this mount on CPF so wanted something for public reference.

Do you think the G2 will be sturdy/tight on the M27?

I should just pick up the phone and call Surefire, LOL...

Does the G2 body fit in an old-school 1" weaver style classic SureFire ring mount... thats the question.
The fact its for an obscure WeaponLight mount doesn't matter and needlessly complicates matters...
