I am sure the tail threading is the same. I didn't know that you could fit 18mm cells into a M3 though.

The diameter of the M3 tube is too small to accept 18xxx cells, unless you have bored it out. This is broadly true for all SF tubes/bodies. In most cases 17xxx cells will fit.
 
Yes, this I knew, don't know why I put that in the original post (typo?), as I'm USING 17500 cells. Thanks for the input guys, looks like an A14 for me.
