The MA02 lamp in my Aviator is stuck. Has this ever happened to anyone, and if so, how did you remove it?

So delicate, so I want to be careful...

Thank you.

How stuck is it? In the past I've encountered "stuck" buibs on E-series heads as well, but they were easy to remove after some gentle prying.

In your case you'll have to be careful with the onion ring as well, when trying to pry out the mail bulb assy.

It happens all the time. You just need to use your fingernails to get a grip on the bottom aluminum plate. It might separate from the plastic base. If so no big deal, you can just put it back together. You can try and be gentle with it and it might come out with enough pressure. I would recommend using a needle nose pliers to remove the MA02 if you have no experience doing it before. Just grab it by one of the plastic tabs.

Did you have one that actually died or are you installing a Lumens Factory replacement? I've been using the same MA02 forever. I've never been able to get one to die. Soft start and the xenon-halogen cycle keeping the envelope clear make these lamps last forever.

The only way I think I could kill one is if I slammed my A2 on a hard surface while it was running.

It actually burned out, but its got major runtime on it. Broke another bezel last time. Got the lamp out, but the delicate fins underneath got inadvertently damaged. Didn't want to do it again.
Dielectric with a q tip hopefully prevents this in the future.
