Got an E2e body with an E2C adapter on a Centurion head with a P61 lamp & a regulation Surefire clickie, turned it on, tested it with the P60 & P61 lamps, worked fine. Later on tried it again and nothing lit up, tried fresh batteries no go...Am I doing something wrong, did I burn out the lamps somehow, has anyone had a similar experience?

For what its worth, when my p61 wont light in my brinkman legend xl, I learn to screw the head down tight. Some reason it backs off and wont light unless its on tight. Even if there is spring tension when you remove the tail cap on the batteries.

Cool guys will look into both, although when I go to back to original E2e setup everything works fine. Thank You for your advice :)

***********UPDATE 2005************

Tried to Screw the heads on tighter, no go...
Tried extending the lamp springs out more, to make sure there was battery contact, no go...
Tried switching clickies, no go...
Tried switching batteries, no go...
Set up the original E2e head, everything worked fine, clickies and all.
Will try sending the lamps to Surefire to see what they can do, it's a shame because the P61 is brand new.

Would post pics, but for whatever reason I cant.

Before you send them back to Surefire, try direct connecting the 123 cells to the lamps using jumpers of wire. If the lamps light the problem is electrical connection within the light somewhere with the adaptor, etc.

Tony,

I bought an E2c adapter in which the annodize would not allow the lamp to light. I had to sand it off to establish the negative ground path again. Take a look at the adapter and make sure you have a good ground.
