hi, this is not a normal question for sure /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

but i am thinking about getting a 9V surefire (not that i need it, but cause i am hooked /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif )

i currently have 1 6V surefire (G2Z) and 1 SC1 spare carry (already filled with batteries and spare bulb assembly).

i am thinking about if it's possible for me to carry just 1 SC1 with spare bulb assembly in it for both lights (6V and 9V).

since i don't think i can run 6V on 9V system, the only way is the other way around, 9V may works on a 6V light with less output ...

can that be done? side effect? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I just tried a running a p90 from 2 sf123 cells and it did light up but was very yellow. So it does work, whether it would kill the bulb early or not I don't know.

Best not to use the wrong lamp. Too much power could cause it to explode. Too little power and you get nasty light and the lamp will age faster since it's not running hot enough.
