Ok so i have a ZL H501, but i am looking for something a little brighter with good spill like the ZL but a little more throw.

Are the lumens underated on the Saint like on other SF products?

Is the Saint all flood or does it a have a little throw to it?

Does the Saint have center beam clutter?

Thanks,
Brian

I don't know about the saint but Zebralight now offers headlamp with a reflector, you might want to check those...

I have one of those on pre-order, Sorry i forgot to mention i am also looking for longer runtime.

Im open to other options.

Thanks,
Brian

Sounds like you are describing the Saint to a T.

The beam is clean, but not perfect. Thanks to the optics that collimate the light output there is a slight image of the LED die itself.

The Saint has more throw than the H60 but slightly less flood, although it still lights up your entire peripheral vision.

When hiking with the Saint I never had an urge to use a second light to illuminate distances, I'd just crank the Saint up from middle to max.

Thanks for info. Can you tell me if the Saint is really more than 100 lumens( Like other SF lights)?

Thanks,
Brian

Don't have an IS, so I couldn't tell ya. And owing to the beam is different in spread from pretty much every other light I own, well, that makes it difficult to estimate as well.

Thanks for the help carrot. I went ahead and ordered the SF Saint, I think i will like it. Now all I have to do is wait.

How does the Saint perform with AA batteries? Does anyone know if there are any figures on lumens and runtime out there?
