I remember when you posted 10-31 about them shipping. I am just waiting for my first one, the guy said sometime this week....

BTW, this is nascar, why do you have so many KL1s?
 
Is the KL1 that hard to get? If it is, ill be getting the X5-T instead.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">First off, I like them and plan to have them pretty much an arm's lenght away. Secondly, I purchase several to find the brightest most long lasting ones to keep. Then I return or sell off the ones I don't like.
 
Part of recent e-mail 11/18/02 from Strategos regarding my KL1 order and how it has been handled by Surefire:

"Here is the "kicker"! They now state that are out of KL1's and DO NOT
expect anymore for 3-4 weeks. They are unsure how many they will have in
3-4 weeks and cannot predict when the backorders will be filled other than
to say hopefully shortly thereafter.

After being originally told that KL1's would be shipped to ALL backorders
around the Nov. 1st timeframe I now am unsure of when they will be shipped.
I could expand much further in regards to the frustration about how this has
been handled by them but for now will opt to remain hopeful and positive
that the "KLx" backorders will be filled within the next 45-60 days."

Anyone else find it interesting that Surefire is shipping KL1's ordered directly from them at full retail price but is unable to ship KL1's to reputable dealers like Strategos?

I find this VERY revealing and will tailor my future Surefire orders accordingly.

More light and much more throw.
 
I ordered a couple of X5-Ts and a Surefire E2e w/KL1 from ProductWizard last week.

They called me today and told me that the X5-Ts were no problem, but that the E2e was on 2-week backorder, and indefinite on the KL1 -- even though their web site said everything was in stock. Guess I was dreaming.

So it looks like all dealers are probably getting the same answer on the KL1. If anyone sees a breakthrough, I'll move my order to whoever has the supply.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I'm in essentially the same shape you are except my original order was placed on October 21, almost a month ago. And now I find it's gonna' be another 45-60 days . . . sure doesn't create much of a warm, fuzzy feeling for Surefire when you get the whole story about how we're being jerked around . . .

Placed on Oct 9, and no KL1 for me so far or in near future.

I ordered and paid for an E2e and a KL1 from Stragegos on Oct. 16. On 10/26 I had them ship the E2e and wait on the KL1. On 11/7 Vaughn emailed me and said that if the KL1 wasn't going to ship by 11/8, as promised, he would cancel the KL1 order per my request since by then they were in stock elsewhere and Surefire was supposed to be shipping backorders by 11/1. I haven't heard back from Strategos since, and my c.c. has not been credited back. Now I hear this?
What a load of crap. It's one thing to wait on an item. It's another to wait 3 days for email responses, get them only after two requests, and have people order and receive items while your waiting around on a prepaid backorder. Cheap prices go only so far. For $8.00 more, including shipping, I ordered one yesterday from [email protected] and it shipped today. Sorry, but Strategos don't show me s**t. Anyone can be an order-taker. Isn't that what a lot of people here give Botach such grief for doing?
 
I have had nothing but great service from strageogos

No excuses, I think I dropped the ball on this one I just forgot about our email conversation until I read your post. In the future feel free to call or email me if you have an issue, question, or problem that you experienced or an issue that were not satisfied with.

I just cancelled the KL1-HA portion of your order and credited your card. You should be receiving an email notifying you of the credit to your card. I will also email this reply to you as well so that you may get it quicker.

FYI . . . we DO NOT want to be known for just CHEAP PRICES as their are several other companies that are probably considerably cheaper to purchase from on the net. In this particular case you did not receive the service that our customers are accustomed to and I very much apologize for this.

I like the product, but I am seriously considering cancelling my order until SureFire gets their sh*t together. Strategos has done me good in the past and it is not them that I am upset with.

Here's a bit of speculation.....any chance there is some animosity between SF and Strategos? Could SF be seeing them as possible future competition and purposely "submarining" their orders?

Last thought: If Gransee had the LS-2 ready today, I'd cancel the SF order and pop for one of them instead.
