Which single die led has the highest surface brightness at moment?

I guess the R2? right?

If you were talking about bare die, yes the R2 would probably be it. However, if you are talking packaged die, likely a Rebel-100 as it has a smaller effective source size. On the other hand, the R2 has a narrower pattern.... try both.

There are some unknown parameters here. What current do you want to run at? The golden dragon may be a player depending on the current. It would most likely beat the R2 at low current but as it cannot handle high current the R2 might take the lead. Cutter has mentioned that there is an R2 bin XP-E coming. So for high current that would be my best bet as it has both high output and a lack of magnification from the package which reduces effective surface brightness.
I do not see the current bin of K2s being able to compete.
