I just got a Nokia 6230 and it is a very very cool phone! It has pretty much all the features that are available to mobile phones right now, and my local network Optus even has live TV which streams on the phone! It's amazing!

Is anyone here familar with GPRS and use it?

I use GPRS regularly on my SonyEricsson P900 phone. I have the Opera web browser installed. I have also used GPRS for other services on my phone such as ftp, e-mail, WAP, MMS, and as a GPRS modem for my laptop.

I have been using GPRS for about a year now.
I just don't get the expensive phone bill. GPRS is packet-switched and you pay a fixed fee ($7 for 20 Megabytes of data over here) which is more than 8000 emails a month of capacity.

Thats inexpensive, we have to pay per kByte in steps counted each month:
$6 for the first 0,5 MB (at ~$0,01 per kB)
$34 for the next 19,5 MB (at ~$0,02 per kB)
$1 for each MB when more than 20 MB (at ~0.001 per kB).
