Survival Keychain

Good Idea, you'll probably see a lot of interest in these.

Although I expect most CPFers have already put something similar together.

Mine consists of:
</font><ul type="square">[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Victorinox Manager (small swiss army knife) </font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Arc AAA </font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Traser Glowring (ice blue) </font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Mini Compass </font>[/list]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Would be interested to know what other people carry

My keys are a love/hate relationship. Right now they've been severly downsized and consist of:

Unique KMart special "Made in China" multitool...but I like it
Metal whistle
A little decorative piece of metal
Vehicle and house kays
Tracer Glowring (Ice Blue)

When I finally get around to ordering some stuff from Berkeleypoint I'll be able to separate the "Junk" (Everything that's not keys or a glowring) and the Keys.

Oh I almost forgot, I have the multitool on that strip of cloth from my old Solitare--makes it much more handy.

I personally wouldn't buy a survival keychain just because my keys take up enough space as it is...but I know others that probably would, especially if the combined price of the items on the keychain was less than their combined common retail price.

Those Survival Keychains look great, but I'd only carry one if someone bought me one.

If I had to shell out the cash, I'd pay premium in order to get "above average" products, such as an Arc AAA instead of the Photon and a Leatherman Micra or SOG Crosscut instead of the Utili-Key and can opener.

Being a "city guy", I don't have a pressing need for matches or a compass.

Don Rearic has a good suggestion for an Urban Survival Mini-Kit: www.drearic.com/usmk.html

I carry: Letherman Micra, Photon led, electronic compass watch-casio outdoor... often arc ls... Don't need the pocketlights one, I think it is a personal choice.

Would be a good starter kit to give as a gift or to the wife/girlfriend to keep in their purse. I would think that most of the people here already have their own little kit assembled. I have the Utili-Keys myself, I have found a bigger need for screwdrivers as opposed to cutters or pliers. Then there's my Asp Saphire, a Cold Steel mini-Pal. Anything else I have in the pocket, on the belt, cor in the waistband.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">My keychain is a ripoff of the Berkeley point Keychain. I want a BP chain but wanted to make sure I liked the concept first. The photo shows it with EVERYTHING attached, it's rarely like this--most that stuff just floats in my pockets. When I have on real loose pants, though, I"ll usually stick it all on there so if I loose 1 thing I'll loose everything else and (hopefully) notice it...prepare to be amazed

So....uhhh....Saaby.....what's on the top part that you blurred out? Usually when I see something like that, it has to do with parts of the female anatomy.

Can't tell you. It's perfectly G-Rated mind you, unless you're a flashaholic--then it's "I want one" rated...and (Unfortunatly) you can't have one, so it's just better if you don't know what it is

Ok...I don't know Saaby personally at all, however it does indeed look like a blurred out Serber Tech tool. Now what Saaby does with it that make's it more than "G" rated...I don't even want to think about it! (and there's the Chapstick also...wonder if they go together?)

BTW, where did you get that neat little chapstick holder? I want one!

Local company--

What I was refering to with the G rated comment was the fact that it has absolutely nothing to do with the femaly anatomy, and I'm going to stop right there because this isn't chat and I can be rideculed for saying something that will make me want to eat my foot for days...

Ahhhh....a foot fetish.....now it all becomes clear.

Ok....back on topic.....what are some other widgets that people put on their survival keychains?
