Here are the different SW01 Tailcaps for the Surefire C/P/M/D series.

The smallest is from a Weaponlight with a pressure pad only, and can be converted to a Twisty-Non-Lock-Out-Tailcap.
It looks like a smaller version of the SW01.

Cool! I've never seen the little one on the right.

Are it's guts the same as the 'Fatty' and 'Slim?' If so, it'll probably take the AW softstarter switch.

No the inside is different.
There is too much room toward the top...and not enough threads
Only the guts from a Non-LOTC will work.
I'm sure there is a way to make things work... maybe a retaining ring.

I'll get some pics of what came out of it soon.

I don't know the part #.

I got the middle sized one yesterday and was really liking it.
After messing around with it for a bit I decided to try converting the weaponlight TC.
I know I will actually use it now.

NICE!!!:twothumbs

I really like the one with the large fluting.:naughty:

Heres one that is on the Aleph III I am selling.

Also shown is the inside of the TC...so you can maybe see what I'm trying to explain.
The small pcb holding the T.C. up has nothing to do with anything...just propping up the T.C.

The question I have, is whether the TailCap you show is the UUxx or the UMxx?

Here is a photo or two of my UMxx

UMxx%20in%20bits%20unplug.jpg

I believe they are the same TailCap but with different switch contact assemblies. The UM having a socket for the plug-in remote switch cable, whereas the UU has a cable that can not be disconnected.

The top light is a Maxlite. It's an AA tube with a 27mm LED head and a 2-stage tail.

The bottom light is a round body E1, with an older hex incan head holding a Koala Rebel tower and wearing a GG&G TID. Also a 2-stage tail.
