Hi all, especially anyone from Swansea, Wales, UK.
Just to tell you about my day today (Thursday).
First I went to Clydach market (open Thursday and Sunday 9am - 2pm) and found a guy selling modable torches.
They come in a pack of two for £1.99, the larger one looks like a M*glight and takes two AA cells, the smaller one takes a single AAA cell. They are both made of ALUMINIUM, come in the colours Blue, Silver or Black and have the on/off Switch in the tailcap.
i.e. Two new mod's on the way.
* The smaller one I will probably use a transistor booster in the head.
* The larger one I will probably run of one cell with a MAX756 or MAX757 booster circuit built into a dummy battery and a cluster of LED's in the head.
Feeling happy and my day was going well, I thought I would pop into LLansamlet to visit PC world.
What do I see ?
Answer : A nice big shiny new MAPLINS shop that has just opened up in LLansamlet near PC World!
To a guy who usually has to purchase mail order and thus make up orders to minimum order values of £10 ($15) when only wanting a few components this was like a dream come true !
Hope this info will be usefull to fellow modders who live in the SWANSEA area, as they now know where to get both modable torches and components easily !
