Hi

I have a Surefire KL6 that Milky modded some years ago. It has now a SSCP4 USWOH driven by a SOB1000.

I would like to replace the P4 with a warmwhite led. Which led would be a suitable choice if I just want to solder it and don´t make any new changes?

you could try the SSC P4 High CRI but there will be a noticeable reduction in output. There are usually a few floating around the marketplace. I think I've seen some U2SVOH bins around which would be brighter but only slightly warmer.

A cree XR-E would work but it would need to be raised to the point where it is nearly touching the reflector in order to focus properly. You can get hold of 3A or 5A tints in Q4 brightness bin.

Well, I'm testing a few U2SUMH emitters in my hand that could fit your needs.

Sure they won't be as warm as high CRI leds but you should not get any noticable reduction in lumens still getting a nice warmer tint.

I posted a pic here comparing to a U2SVOH, the difference should be even greater against a U2SWOH

I hope that helps :)
