Healey Way, Killarney Heights, 7.30PM Sunday August 12th 2007
The location is Healey Way, Killarney Heights in the National Park there. This is under Roseville Bridge which is on Warringah Road. This is easy to find, if you are approaching from the south of the bridge, drive over the bridge, take the first turn to the right and do a U turn so you are approaching the bridge from the north. Approaching the bridge from the north, just before the actual bridge on the left is an exit saying something like "Davidson Picnic Area" or similar, take this exit and it becomes Healey Way. There is a car park on the eastern side under the bridge, a locked gate under the bridge, then National Park on the western side of the bridge.
We will be in the National Park, just walk through the locked gate and along the road about 300 metres and you will find the picnic site pictured below. It is covered and has 3 large tables. Just adjacent is a section of grass overlooking the river. It is not located next to houses so we will not be disturbed. Pizza, napkins & wet ones (so no greasy prints on anyones torches) will be provided by Quarterflash.com.au

Since I suggested the date I had better commit to being there. I'm in!
l should have a couple more interesting acquisitions to show around by then.
What do you think for a start time? Make it same as last time, 7.30pm? Should we plan pizza too?
Glen, If you want some company scouting out the venue one evening, let me know since I live about 10 min from Roseville Bridge.

It looks like we have a venue for the August 12 meet - the park under the Roseville Bridge is a goer. Glen C is going to post a picture of the venue. The best site will involve a 400m walk if the park gates are closed on the night. We were lucky tonight because the gates were open which was probably something to do with the weather - very cold and wet.
Under the bridge itself is a good spot too because the evenly spaced pylons make nice distance markers for throw comparisons.
We are also planning on having some pizzas too.
