Sysmax CR123s - Anybody Uses them?

Hi all,

I was looking at CR123 prices and have found Sysmax CR123 at 1.5 euros each.
I was wondering if any of you has ever used them. Are they any good?

I keep reading posts of people buying CR123 for less than 1 buck but in the old continent decent brands (Panasonic and Duracell) are nearly 2 euros each if bought by 4 or 8.
For the time being I don't need to buy a ton, just a few as a back-up for when 18650 runs out or I can't charge it. Still, if I can save a few euros I'd be happy too.

I also found them $4.25 a pair, worldwide delivered online. Looks like a good buy. I also would like to know the real capacity of these.

I would strongly recommend against trying to go budget with 123 cells; cheap 123s are the most dangerous type of battery there is, as a brief search around CPF from the guys who have been injured or lost property can attest. Unless these cells are a rebadged quality brand, I'd steer clear.

Sysmax is the manufacturer of Jetbeam and Nitecore. I guess they would be similar to 4sevens batteries.

Thanks! So far the only information I could find is that they are made in China by Sysmax. These are also the batteries that were used for the JetBeam used for the FL1 tests for the PC10 and PC20s so I was curious to see how well they performed.
I guess I might go for Duracell. I've found the Energizer at a cheaper price but browsing through the threads I've the impression that they are not as good.

I live in Germany and i bought Panasonic Cr123s for a decent price at ebay. You should also have a look at German flashlight stores, some of them have acceptable prices on quality Cr123s.

Funny, I only saw your message now but I ended buying Panasonic 123 from a German vendor on eBay earlier today!I was undecided between Panasonic and the Duracell and eventually went for the Panasonic as they were a little cheaper: I hope they are going to give
good runtimes.

I think in Europe the best online shops for flashlights and batteries are Germany- and UK-based: unfortunately I don't live in either country so I never get free shipping!
