Tactician with rechargeables

For those of you using rechargeables, what is the correct battery that works with the Tactician and is the output the same on high and low as with 123s?

In the big thread it's reported that you don't get the same high output with 1x 16650 as with 2XCR123. My experience bore this out. With 16650 it seemed like about 500 lumens on high rather than 800 lumens with 2xCR123.

I run a KP 16650 in mine I forget the maH

out put is around 500 I would say like stated above

I'd recommend sticking with the only rechargeable batteries that Surefire recommend:

LFP 123A lithium-phosphate rechargeable batteries
https://www.surefire.com/batteries/sf2r-charger-kit.html

With these you will get the same brightness but about 50% runtime.

Other options are usually higher voltage and not supported or covered by warranty and you run the risk of killing your light, if not soon then later.

3.7 volts from my 16650

2 cr123s are 6 volts
