TAD Jetbeam

Hi Folks

I am interested in a Jetbeam Cree but am worried about the quality as have read some bad reports in this area.

My other option is buy a TAD Jetbeam and have it modded with a Seoul P4, i believe this is a better option but will let the knowledgeable ones here be the judge and am willing to take your advice.

I like the TAD version as it has less functions and can be kept on low setting if you wish unlike the MKII Cree.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable person to carry out such a operation for me.

I live in england and will have the item shipped directly to them from TAD for Modding.

Hope you can help.

I'm not very knowledgeable but:

Out of the two Jetbeam Cree lights, the CL-E is the one with thread problems (luck of the draw) and the MKIIX has a complex user interface(but no problems otherwise, at least from what I've heard).

You could get the Fenix L1D-CE (tint is variable), the Rexlight (no reivews, unknown if it is good or not), Lumapower F1(SSC version) or M3 (F1=one mode, on, M3= High low mode), or modify a older Jetbeam and modify it with a Seoul LED (might be hard to get the head apart)

It's your choice,

I have the Jetbeam AA w/o the Cree from Tad Gear and it works great with rechargeables, similar to the Cree in brightness. Built like a monster, too, very sturdy.

Pacific Tactical Solutions currently has a closeout deal on the MK-II. I think they have a listing in the Dealer's Corner as well.

The quality issues with some (no problems with mine) of the C-LE's is a shame, because I've always been impressed with the quality of the Jet-1's.

I don't find the interface of the MK-IIx to be especially complicated or annoying. If you keep it in the standard mode, it's almost identical to the MK-II. The advanced mode is overkill, but the light never forces you to use it.

Cheers

I would like to be able to switch the light off in low and back on in low for use at night, where to bright a light would be no no at work.In the car using maps at work.

So does anyone know of some one to Mod a mark II Tad version.

I believe someone here has modded a Tad Jetbeam. I thought I read on another forum that one of the guys at Tad had his personal light modded with a seoul by someone on here. But I don't think he said who it was.
