Well , I had a Small sun C41 [ still do actually ] , that was originally AA + 14500 but the driver died .. So after putting in a driver from my spare parts bin [ unknown 4.2v 5 mode driver = no more AA ] . It ran ok except that it started behaving strangely , not changing modes or skipping modes or the output being all over the place ..
The other day I thought , I better check out the clicky , and after some minor adjustment , the light runs fine , behaves just great : :thumbsup:
Light No2 is my old Ultrafire 501B , one of my first P60 hosts in R2 , this light must be over 12 months old now .. I did a driver swap and it became a real hot rod , blew away everything else I had in a R2 , pulling up to 1.9A at the tail .
Then it started loosing output , and around the same time I had a lot more lights to play with , so I put it aside , till today .
Pulled the clicky out , and replaced it with a spare I had lying around [ new one ] and wow , back to its old self , and really pumping ..
I guess when you can buy a 501B host for $8USD shipped , its not going to have the best high current clicky installed .. :sick2:
Well , I finally got around to looking at these two tail switches and Im happy with the end results , a nice reliable EDC [ Small sun ] and my 501B is really pumping again , and may be my top R2 once again .
