Hi all,
am quite new to flashlights and after surveying some of them i have finally made my mind to go for TANK007 TK-566 Cree XR-E Q4 LED - (http://www.tank007.com/view_products.asp?id=341)but theres a problem which am facing. the above link of its official site clearly mentions the brightest mode to be capable of giving 160 Lumens whereas all the sites like ebay and dinodirect have listed only upto 140 Lumens... why so??
i want to purchase the one EXACTLY shown on the official link above...kindly let me know where can i find the official one giving 160 Lumens at its peak...as soon as possible.

Thanks

I see what you mean. For the same light the lumen ratings are all over the place according to my google search. Most of em have the Q3 emitter.

It does use a slightly older emitter though and claims 400 mA current on max, which is going to not be all that impressive. It will be about 80 lumens or so.

Maybe with some luck you can get something similar. Here is an example which is at least an XP-E emitter.

Ideally you would want one with an XP-G emitter, but my DX search skillz need improvement apparently.

Not the answer you want I doubt you could tell the difference anyway.:D,one of my 15 lumens lights is brighter than one of my 25 lumens lights or appears to be,it is down to how the light is coming out the front on one of them.

thanks...but is there no seller selling this flashlight at its official lumen rating of 160 lumens?

I think you may be a little confused. These lumen ratings are a bit disingenuous because they are often taken under perfect conditions and from the emitter not out the front, and sometimes they are just made up. If you really want this light just make sure to get the q4 version which will be brighter than a q2 or q3. If what you really want is a light that puts out 160 lumens off of AA's, than I would look elsewhere.

Check out the romisen rc-n3 from shiningbeam which comes in Q5 and R4 flavors, both of which will be closer to what you are looking for. They are more expensive, but not too bad.

yes...after reveiwing some flashlights i agree to that...and yeah the seller is providing q4 version, so i think am good to go...
thanks
