I thought all you might be interested to know about this (LS4) new light. I just got mine in the mail today and besides size wise, it blows my L4 away. The LED is the whitest I have seen so far. It is a 3 D light, made from a solid bar of aluminum, solid as a rock. It is advertised as a 4 watt light, 80 lumens, 15 hours at full brightness and has a very nice beam. I am not sure if they are using a 3 watt or 5 watt underdriven, either way, Tektite puts a lifetime warranty on it. There is a possibility I may be able to put some beamshots up if there is any interest. Can't beat it for $110, definately a keeper. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I believe they're using a 3-watt LED, driven at 1.00 amp to make it roughly 4 watts of power.
4 watts. LS4. Get it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My page about this flashlight is right here if you're interested.

Thats what I was suspecting, although, I have had it on for a while and I can't feel any heat from it. I also accidentally dropped it at work from 6 feet onto pavement, made a small ding in it but did'nt hurt it.

They`re great lights. Incredibly strong too...

Pictures from my upcoming review. If I don`t have to work any more days this holiday-weekend (already lost half of today) I *might* get it finished soon.
