So, I'm pretty new to the whole high-tech flashlight thing. Long time troller, and SureFire user at work. For the life of me I can't figure out how to tell the difference between all these new LED's. I hear Luxeon's are better than Rebels but I don't know how to tell the difference by looking at the flashlight. Is there an easy guide somewhere?

except for the search ...

in short:
Rebels are also Luxeons ;) (the newer, more efficient models, but unfortunately there seem to be some difficulties in production)
"Luxeons" usually mean the old models
Seoul (P4) and Cree (XR-E) are more than twice efficient than Luxeons (= double bright at same current)
then there are the new quad-emitters (4 led in one package): named P7 for Seoul and MC-E for Cree
