Hey everyone. I have a question regarding the above said batteries. Are they any good/are they decent/good quality? Are they safe (as safe as Lithium Ion cells can be)?

Amazon has them on sale for $40 for 40 of them. I usually stick to Surefire 123's, Streamlight 123's, and 4Sevens 123's but I am curious about these. They say they have PTC Protection and that it is set @ 5 amps.

I have done a search on here to see if there was any information on them but there doesn't seem to be any inclusive info on them so I decided to open up this topic.

Here's the link for them: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001W9Y4PK/?tag=cpf0b6-20

If anyone has any info on these and could pass it along here, I'd appreciate it...especially those of you who specialize in this area!

Thanks in advance!

I can't speak for them since I have never heard of these before.

However, if you want to buy low price primaries, the Titanium CR123 from battery junction are very nice. I have used at least a dozen of them and I can say they perform very good, priced $1.00 each

More incidents of explosion are reported with chinese made CR123s than USA made. Find a good price on USA made cells (or Japanese Sanyo cells) and stick to those if at all possible.

Tenergy has a history of inconsistency in cells. Inconsistent CR123s used in multi-cell devices is one of the primary causes of CR123 explosions.

Oh, and CR123s aren't li-ion.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure about these cells, i.e. where they were from, quality, etc. As I said before I stick to Surefires, Streamlights, 4Sevens, and that is pretty much it. I saw these though and became curious.

As for 123's not being Lithium-ION...bare with me as I am still learning. I know they are Lithium...after that...well you are dealing with a noob here, lol!

Thanks again!

If you would like to support the Chinese economy then that's up to you.

If, however, you would like to buy American consider http://www.batterystation.com/cpf7.htm

I would note Ronin28's info says he/she lives in Canada so may have no reason to consider supporting the US (which I presume you mean when you say American) economy more worthwhile then the Chinese economy. In other words, the consistency, quality and safety aspects are probably far better arguments for getting made in US cells then who's economy you are supporting.

This is a nice deal they are offering us. I like the fact that the batteries are made in the USA as well. :)
