hi guys i would like to know what you think about putting one of mat's 6ex led's in a mag led??

would it be any better than just putting one in a standard mag??

would there be more throw?? with the deeper reflector of the mag led

just wanted to see what the enlighteneds thoughts are

Yes better by far, and the mag led flashlight is the same as a regular incan mag, it just has an LED drop in. I've found the throw to be better mostly because the dropin puts out more light light at least with the setups I have anyways using it with 3xcr123 in a 2c body and in a 3D Mag.

i thought by looking at the magled that the reflector was deeper than a incan mag,,or standard one,,, i must be seeing things

i went over last night and looked again,,,i don't know where i got the notion that the reflector was deeper on the led mag,,, i had the clerk hit me in the head with a 4D,,,duh,,,Carabidae was right on the money

i have 2 of them set up just the way Carabidae is talking about,,,2C mag body with 3cr123 and i like them alot,, one resides on the night stand for things that go bump in the night,,, right next to my Springfield

bondr006,, i think they are worth every penny too

guess i will open my eyes next time

Is the Terralux TLE-6EX getting an upgrade soon?

The terralux TLE-6EXB recently got updated to use a Luxeon Rebel LED.

Is that LED the same one as in the new LED Mags?
