Terralux drop ins

Not sure where this question belonged. But has the issue of the heating problems with the terralux TLE-6EXB or any of the other drop ins been resolved ? I've searched the forums and found threads going back over 2 years. Also there are few newer threads, but they appear to be people discussing old problems.

Nope. Only a drop-in (like those made by Malkoff devices, for example) with a large heat-sink that contacts the body of the flashlight can mitigate the heat generated by a high-power LED. Those terralux things just don't have enough mass to do the job.

Thanks, I was afraid they were to good to be true. I had hoped they had fixed the heat problems, but guess not.
