It looks like this was posted not long ago. I did a quick search, but I didn't find any other posts about this yet. It sort of looks like the LED upgrade I just did for my Streamlight Stinger! I suppose that this, along with the Streamlight Strion LED upgrade kit, will be on display at the 2012 SHOT SHOW.

TerraLUX has been the leader for years when it comes to LED Conversion Kits for flashlights.

The InfiniStar CR takes the game to the next level, with a modular flashlight design. Never again will you pay good money for a flashlight, only to have it become obsolete due to new LED technlolgy. As LED technology improves, users will be able to upgrade their light engine in their flashlight if they own an InfiniStar CR from TerraLUX.

Also available (soon): upgraded battery options for longer runtimes.

Make your next flashlight purchase your last. Check out the new InfiniStar CR from TerraLUX.

Has anybody seen this light? Does the charger connect directly to the light? I'm trying to find a flashlight to keep next to the front door that can sit in a cardle or at least be plugged in to the charger.

Thanks

It looks like it uses the same head/LED that's marketed for Streamlight's Stinger. Essentially, Terralux made a "Host" for the Stinger upgrade. The latest Terralux Stinger conversion is really nice.

It uses a wallwart, and uses the standard nipple plug that plugs into the side of the light. There is no cradle.

Last I heard, the Strion LED conversion died in development.

Strion LED Conversion Kit

.....Last I heard, the Strion LED conversion died in development.....

It may have been resurrected from the dead as I did get this from TerraLUX recently:

Yes. The Strion LED Conversion kit is now complete, and we’re showing it for the first time at the SHOT Show next week.

200 lumens, 3.5+ hours of runtime with the standard battery on a full charge, includes TIR replacement head and LED module. The LED in it is a Cree XPE.

Photos attached. MSRP is $49.99, and it will be shipping in early to mid February.

Hope this is the info you were looking for!

Re: Strion LED Conversion Kit

That's neat, glad it actually was developed. It's in the Terralux 2012 catalog.

Re: Strion LED Conversion Kit

I own a couple of Terralux lights. While they may not be the best performers I have they are great lights and represent excellent bang for the buck. So has anyone pulled the trigger on this model yet?? Just wondering how it stacks up to the competition. I am interested in getting one but at this price point there a a bunch of awesome lights to choose from.
