TerraLUX - Spot Miser---LT-1

Has any tryred the spot miser yet /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif, its a 10 mm LED so it shold't have any artafacts in the beam right /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif?
What can of LED is this useing? web page

A 5mm that has been ground down to a shape that is good for using with reflectors?

The Spot Miser uses a 10mm LED in a PR style flange bulb base. I do not know the LED manufacturer.
Below, is a beam photograph of one, taken at ~12".

Measured 16,600mcd, and used 139mA in a two cell flashlight.

I *think* it was a little of both.

My spot miser is quite yellowish green. Actually very pleasant compared to most blue tinted LEDs. Produces more natural colors.
