So you ran 4 cree xr-e Q5s off of 8AA direct drive? I'm not challenging it, but is there a better way to do that with little expense?

Are those the cree lenses and lens holders you used? How did you like them?

Yes, I ran it direct drive. But I have already ordered drivers from DX 2 months ago, but I am still waiting for it ...

How does that work? That would be 2.8V each with fresh cells, if everything is in series. :thinking:
