After having my glp-105 on for a minute or 2 i dropped it and the mca came unglued. I took it apart and have it working i just have 2 hold it in place...does anyone have any suggestions on how 2 reglue it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Any 5 minute epoxy from Walmart should do fine.

You're talking about gluing the crystals to the housing, and not gluing two crystals TOGETHER, right?

Epoxy will withstand heat just fine. But don't allow any in the path of the beam or your laser will suck.

I was talking about the part that held the crystals and the part w/ the infra red filter. against better judgement i used thick super glue cyanoacrylate adhesive and it works fine. I'll let you know if it instantly combustes. =)

I'd try RTV silicone if it were mine...
I'm going to intentiaonlly break mine apart soon, soI will
need an adhesive.....
I think solder would work well too as the pieces are brass ;-)

But not for the IR filter

don't use CA (super glue) anywhere near optics/crystals.
CA releases gases as it cures and will fog up your surfaces -
a big no no with lasers. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
