I have a 6P, a few weeks old, very little use, so effectively new.

I unscrewed the tailcap today to change battery and the o-ring inside the Z41 fell out.

It's not a problem, it's back in there now along with a touch of nyogel, but I was just wondering if this is a common thing or more like a one-off?

I did notice when I first opened this 6P that to turn on the light in momentary needed much more pressure than others, but I didn't have enough Surefire experience to know if that meant something, so I just put it down to variations in springyness, which I'm pretty sure isn't actually a word but never mind.

Anyway, it doesn't do that now, it feels more like other Z41 lights and needs a similar amount of pressure applied.

Yes, all sealed, brand new.

I suppose I'll just put it down to being a one-off.

I'm actually glad it fell out.
Now that I have put it back in at least now I know that it wasn't supposed to be that stiff to press, and it works well now, just like my other Z41 lights.

And the good news is, now that this has happened, it will I suppose eventually happen again, then someone else can ask the same question, and Size 15s will be able to reply that "Ah yes, I do remember a single documented case of this happening, many years back.....", and a new generation of CPFers can then be in awe of his Surefire knowledge, just like we all are :)

That's just the way he'd say it too, IMHO. Maybe someone with Flashaholic* status can come up with ten differently-worded sentences on a particular topic and the rest of us can try to match each wording style with each Admin.:)
All in good spirit, of course.
