Finally, the Polarion has been cloned:
Not cheap thou, $750 shipped.

Did you buy this from flashlights.*** website?

Is it a 'clone' ie interchangeable parts with the ph40 / ph 50?

Mohan

I saw that!! I was wondering how close it was to the real thing. One other clue is a picture of the bulb, balast and reflector that is included on flashlight-tor**'s website. Kind of surprised they listed it for $750 shipped being that it's a clone...

I've had one for two years. The body materials and fit and finish are as good as a Polarion. The reflector is sub par. Power level was not at a Polarion level. Start-up is very good although not as good as a Polarion. The machining is done at a shop in China that is said to do some machining for Polarion. Not worth $750 IMHO...

If someone were to spend that much already on this, I would save longer and get the Polarion;)

Hi Mohan,

Yes, that's the site. I didn't buy it, just saw it.

Lips,

Maybe you had a different clone?

There is a guy on shoudian.com claim he just made this.

Ma Sha1, from the cnc cuts on the pic in the first post it's the same light that was finished a couple of years ago. The cnc cuts were changed up a little from the original handle-less Polarion. I have pics of all the parts including ballast. Can you PM place that has them for sale for a better look to confirm...

Found the site.

Light is call DW dive light.

Pic of ballast that is at least two years old. Notice DW

.

Hi Lips,

Your proof is undisputable, looks like that guy on shoudian.com made up a story of "just made a polarion clone",
while in fact, it was here all along, probably not even made by him.

I agree that one would be better getting a used Polarion for $1K, better reflector & hold better re-sale value
