The quest for silver-colored O-rings.

Or any color, really. My Tri-V is in the mail, so I figured, why wait til it gets here to start accessorizing? I haven't found silver yet, but I've found red, white, blue, and clear online. Anyone got any other fun colors they've found? Post links here.

I haven't bought any yet, because I don't know what size the existing rings are, but maybe someone who already owns a SPY can check.

If the rings you get are silicone, do not use silicone-based lube on them; mixing the two will cause your o-rings to swell and can seize a juncture very firmly.

Dave said he uses the -010 sized o-ring for the knob. The dimensions I found online show the -010 as 1/4" I.D. 3/8" O.D. and 1/16" Width or thickness of the o-ring.



StarHalo is right about the swelling, since I think these are meant for the knob there's no need to lube them so it won't matter. We use a lot of different compounds of o-rings at my work and have had to find special grease for certian compounds. I've seen some o-rings swell to 10X their normal size with the wrong lube.... it's actually really funny to see

Based on my measurements, the closest size of piercing-related O-rings is the zero-gauge size. Obviously going about it by looking at piercing websites is kinda the long way around, but for obvious reasons they tend to make O-rings available in pretty colors.

I opted to get some of each, red, white, blue, clear, and GITD white. I figure if nothing else I can sell 'em to you guys.
