I wonder how many would EDC this. I was thinking of a FireFly built with the intent of using Pila 168's or 2 123's interchangeable. While this will make a longer light, it will still be quite narrow. I was not thinking of this as being the brightest light out there. But as a practical EDC Tool that would allow either the use of rechageable or a regular 123's.
The other alternative would be to try this. Build single 150's sized Pila pack, then build a threaded plug to turn the body of the current firefly into a batter case.
You could start out with a Pila 150's running the FireFly, if your battery runs dry in an area where you can not recharge it, not a problem, remove the plug from the 123 body and you are back in business, now that same plug can protect your 150s until you can get it charged again.
