For example:

The 'Net

XM radio

Ozium air sanitizer (knocked down the scent of a skunk in the area!)

Being upbeat most of the time (better than being beat up most of the time, anyway)

Olympic atheletes playing fair and having a good time.

Teaching children, in a positive way, what's right and wrong.

Starr bottle openers (the wall mounted metal openers).

Benchmade knives.

Goretex.

Pretty women wearing sundresses.

The "off" button on the TV remote.

Not to get off track, but saying ma'am sometimes makes women feel like you think they're old. Depends on what part of the US you're from, but it doesn't always work. Thank you always works though.

Yep, M*gs. They ain't great but they work.

I have a roughly 25 year old JC Penny Stereo Receiver that still works great!

Long as I run 230gr FMC ammo, my 1913 Built 1911A runs every single time. My Makarov 9x18mm, S&W 459, Astra A-80 9mmP have all never missed a beat.

Can't think of too many other things I have that I've had as long as the receiver and the 1911A....

My 7.3 Non Turbo IHC diesel in the beast just keeps on truckin' but the history on that only goes back around 3 years...

Oh, and I've never had a Klein tool fail on me, nor very many Craftsman tools (but I have broken screwdriver tips and sockets!)

Yer right about:

- Craftsmen tools (I've met people who've broken a wrecking bar -- ~ 1" around -- dropped a dumptruck rim... and the dumptruck, on it. Said Sears replaced it.)
- KitchenAid mixers and dishwashers, too (our dishwasher is 13 years old)
- Epson printers -- the place I work has dot matrix Epsons still running every d*mned day. They refuse to die.

JVC ghetto blasters don't always work...I have an RC-M70JW and a smaller JVC (model # not handy) that don't play tapes, and an RC-550JW (a huge mono unit with a 10" woofer, a 4" midrange, and a 1" tweeter) with a volume control that doesn't function - though there's a handy work-around for that; one of the mixing knobs performs that function. And I have an RC-838JW where one channel doesn't work. If the "biphonic" processor is used, you can get sound out of both sets of speakers. So it "sorta" works, but it doesn't work correctly.

But yes, my JVC RC-656JW and RC-M80JW ghetto blasters do work correctly. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

All of these units came out in the early-1980s.

Oh yeah, I'll agree with Epson Printers too, so long as you run Epson carts. through them.

We have an Epson Stylus Color II (I think it's about 10 years old?) that is still kicking! We don't use it any more because the output is fuzzy, and it's slow, at least by todays standards.

I was raised to always say ma'am as a show of respect. I have such a habit of saying it that I even say it to the 16 year olds working the fast food burger joints. Has not gotten me in trouble yet. Actually I think most of the women around here like it.
