Thinking of a new feature for my reviews

Hi all,
I'd like some input from anyone who has seen/read some of my reviews on an idea I've been pondering.

I recently acquired a scale to go with my calipers, so I could measure lengths, widths, diameters, etc. as well as weights of lights and their component parts. I thought it might be a useful feature to have a page with a chart showing the various dimensions of the lights I've reviewed.

Here's what I have in mind:
-A list at the top, with links to the proper part of the page for each light
-"Exploded diagram" pics of each light, with callouts or some other labeling style
-Columns in the chart with "Weight of A," "Weight of B" (A and B could be the body and head of a particular light, for example) etc., and "Length 1," "Length 2" (1 and 2 could be reflector depth and diameter for a particular light, for example), etc.

So, what do you think?

Great idea. Especially for pocket lights, this would be very helpful.

Cool.

Any suggestions for this feature? How accurate should the weights be? My scale is +/-.1oz for under 2lbs, and +/-.2oz for 2-35lbs. It wouldn't be difficult for me to buy a +/-.1g, 600g scale if you want more accurate weights for the smaller items.

The Wee new light from Lummi is expected to be less than 10 grams including the battery and key chain. To compare the titanium and nickle silver versions you would need a very fine measure. I say the more accurate the better, but cost is always a concern as well.

The cost of the more accurate scale should be less than $20 - I think I'll go for it. I'll probably start on the new page some time this week.

I ordered the more accurate scale last week. It should arrive this week.

Anything else you guys want? Star ratings, lux readings, something like that?

Thanks for providing the great reviews TigerhawkT3.

Something I'd like to see is your impression of a light several months down the road, after you've had a chance to use it some.

Durability, practical usability, any failures or problems. Any other issues you've had with the light - cross threading, springs, intermittent switch function, etc.

If you could regularly update the reviews - maybe every several months or as any failures occur - that'd be really great.
