Recently we received a threatening letter from someone who claimed to be an “Authorized ARC Dealer”. This person did not identify themselves or their company. After reading the letter, I understand why. The “polite” portions of the letter included accusations of :
1. Loss of our “Authorized ARC Dealer Status”.
2. Failure to follow MAP Pricing Schedule.
3. Whoring of ARC flashlights to customers and ruining the marketplace.
4. "not providing proper consultation"
The letter also contained some threats of what would happen if we continued to sell ARC lights.
OUR RESPONSE:
Not many people are familiar with our background. We respond poorly to threats. We respond better to polite conversation. Please allow us to comment on the above accusations.
1. County Comm has never purchased any products from ARC. We are not and never have been an “ARC Authorized Dealer” or Distributor.
2. ARC did call us a few weeks ago, and ask us to adjust our prices. ARC was going to provide MAP pricing to us. We had a very nice conversation, however ARC never did provide the recommended pricing platform.
3. Our response is simple, I just ordered a total of 750 more ARCs. I want everyone to have an ARC.
4. Consultation? It's just a $15.00 flashlight. Get a Grip!
5. The letter and envelope were turned over to the Postal Inspector.
6. We will continue to sell ARC AAA flashlights at $15.00 http://www.countycomm.com/light3.htm
In summation; The staff at County Comm and it’s Parent Corporation will continue to provide quality products at the best prices possible. We will not be bullied by someone who is unwilling to sign their name to their letters of attempted intimidation. Nick & Frank
