There are several builders of Titanium lights out there - what grades of Titanium do they use?
Grade 1-4 (Pure), Grade 5 (6Al-4V), etc...

McGizmo
Orb
BitZ
PhotonFanatic (killer)
Lumencraft Gatlight
Enrique's Nautilus/Aeon
Cool fall - Spy
Mr. Bulk
Surefire
Modamag (Drake / Draco)
etc.....

McGizmo - Grade 5
Muyshondt - Raw/non-alloyed titanium

Those are the ones I know off of the top of my head.

It should be noted that Mil-Spec anodized aluminum has better scratch resistance than any of the titanium alloys/grades. (And yes, I'd still rather have a Ti light)

The PhotonFanatic Killer is available with various PVD coatings which give it extreme scratch resistance, far beyond any solid metal/alloy. If I remember correctly, he was offering TiCN coating, which has a hardness rating beyond tungsten carbide - you could actually scratch a sapphire lens using a TiCN-coated object..

The vast majority of Ti McGizmos will be Grade 5. I think a few parts were CP Grade 2, but I can't remember which wave(s).

I believe Muyshondt's Ti lights are CP Grade 2. However, his newest light (the Mako) will be made of Grade 5.
