Tk10/11 switch, Love it or hate it?

I have been carrying a TK11 on duty for the past few months and its a great light, probably one of the best lights for a duty belt available today in my opinion. Super rugged and bright. However, it seems like Fenix really put a cheapo clickie in there. My current setup on my duty belt has the Tk11 held bezel down in a modified bianchi accumold streamlight stinger holder and it seems like maybe once a week or so my arm or something will click the switch on my tk11 and it will run while holstered until the battery is dead. One day i found out it was on because my arm touched it and it was hot! It seems like the clickie they use in the tk11 is really wimpy and way too easy to turn on. I really wish there were a momentary switch similar to a surefire LOTC that were available for this light. Anyone else have a similar problem with the switch on the TK11? Any ideas on how a different switch could be put in there or a momentary could be retrofitted?

The switch has a lock out feature, just like a traditional momentary. Unscrew it a quarter turn and the switch will no longer function.

Interesting! I find my TK11's switch to be fairly firm to engage and then it makes a pretty tactile/audible click. I'm surprised that you could activate this one without knowing. It's true about the quarter-turn thing inactivating the switch--although this would mean that you need to turn it before you can use it--adding a second or so may not be desirable for you, depending on how you use it.

I was reading another thread on the EagleTac lights (here: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=215787) about how they are REALLY hard to activate and how this makes it almost unusable for the poster given how he holds his weapon. Perhaps this "fault" would be a "feature" for you? :D

Ive taken to carrying it in the locked out position, however, like applevision said, its a pain in the butt to have to twist it on everytime i want to use it. Maybe i just got a crappy one or something but it seems like the switch doesn't have enough travel and its too easy to depress compared to other clickies on streamlights or surefires.

I find my TK11's switch very firm and it takes some effort to engage it. I do wonder if there is something wrong with yours.

The switch on my TK10 doesn't seem unusual to me. I carry it bezel-up in the provided Fenix holster.

In the two TK10s I have had my hands on the switches have been very nice with little to complain about.
If you are worried about accidental activation then just loosen the tailcap a 1/3rd of a turn or so like others have suggested as the threads are anodized.

I dont understand, you equate accidental activation on your part to a cheapo switch?
Then u said u wanted something like a surefire LOTC which is what the TK11 is able to do, but later u say its a pain to switch it on?

So wat you want actually is simply a press for momentary / twist for constant on?

The switch on my TK11 is one of the better clickies I've used IMO.

My TK10 switch is fine. I can't imagine it being easy to switch on by accident.

My problem is I hate the pointy shroud. I lockout my TK by unscrewing the switch when I won't be using it for awhile.
