I'm just wondering if it's normal that my TK10 head only needs loosening a tiny bit to go into low mode (say 1 - 2 mm). I always leave it in high mode but it sometimes comes on in low due to it only needing to be loosened such a small amount. If it's not normal, is there any DIY fix I can try? Cheers.

Sounds normal. As soon as you loosen it you break the connection in the head and it drops to low. You could try cleaning the contacts to improve reliability.

It does sound normal. As Wade says try cleaning the contacts anyway if you have not already done so.
Thanks WadeF and Tony. I just had another look and I think I've grasped how it works, and I see there'd be no way to make it stay on high with the head looser. I was just a little concerned it might develop into a problem, but it seems it wont.
